Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Madurai Brach, celebrated Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day with Pushpanjali and a lecture programme on 12th January 2024.
In the morning, Pushpanjali was organized at various locations in Madurai, including VK Madurai karyalayas - Balaji Nagar, TVS Nagar, and other locations nearby including Balasubramaniya nagar, Jaihindpuram, Alagappan Nagar, etc. The celebration witnessed active participation from Madurai Karyakarthas, well-wishers, school students, and the general public, all of whom paid floral tributes to Swami Vivekananda.
In the evening, a lecture program was held at Kendra Karyalaya in Balaji Nagar. Sri T. Natarajan Ji, the president of Sri Ramakrishna Sevashram, Tiruparankundram, delivered an enlightening lecture. He shared inspiring insights about Swamiji's journey to the western countries, his unwavering devotion towards his guru, his exemplary traits as a disciple, and his remarkable contributions and service to the country. The event was attended by 45 people who were all inspired and motivated by the session.
