Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kanyakumari, celebrated Saraswati Puja on 11th October 2024 and Vidyarambham on 12th October 2024 at the school premises.
Saraswati Puja Celebration:
The Saraswati Puja was held on Maha Navami, 11th October 2024, beginning at 9:30 a.m. A total of 70 participants joined the celebration. The event included the chanting of Sri Mahishasuramardhini Stotram and heartfelt renditions of devotional songs. A beautiful puja was dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, and the celebration concluded with the distribution of prasadam to all attendees.
Vidyarambham Celebration:
The Vidyarambham ceremony took place on Vijaya Dashami, 12th October 2024, starting at 8 a.m. The event was presided over by Adharneeya Radha Devi Didi, Dakshin Prant Sangathak, VRM & VK. A total of 93 people, including staff, teachers, parents, and children, attended the auspicious occasion.
The ceremony began with the chanting of three Omkaras, followed by the Shanti Path. Under the guidance of Adharneeya Radha Devi Didi, five eager children participated in the sacred ritual, marking their formal initiation into learning. Mananeeya Radha Devi Didi addressed the gathering, emphasizing the deep cultural and spiritual significance of Vidyarambham.
The Vidyarambham ceremony was conducted in a traditional manner by Sri Manikumar, a teacher from VKV Kanyakumari, while the puja was performed by Smt. Nalarani, the school's librarian.
