Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kanyakumari celebrated Saraswati Puja and Vidyarambham on 23rd October and 24th October respectively at the school premises.
Saraswati Puja Celebration:
On the auspicious occasion of Maha Navami, Saraswati Puja was celebrated at the school premises on the 23rd of October 2023, commencing at 9:30 a.m. A total of 70 people enthusiastically participated in the program. The event included the recitation of Sri Mahishasuramardhini Stotram and heartfelt renditions of devotional songs. A beautiful puja was dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, and as the celebration concluded, prasadam was distributed to all.
Vidyarambham Celebration:
The Vidyarambham ceremony on the 24th of October 2023 was celebrated in an auspicious manner. Commencing at 8 a.m., the event was presided over by Mananeeya Aparna Didi, a Jeevan Vrati Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra. A total of 92 people participated, including the staff, teachers, parents, and children.
The ceremony commenced with the chanting of three Omkaras, followed by Shanti pat. Vidyarambham, the initiation of learning, was conducted under the guidance of Mananeeya Aparna Didi, and three eager children actively took part in this sacred ritual. Mananeeya Aparna Didi addressed the gathering, emphasizing the profound significance of Vidyarambham.
Sri. Manikumar, a teacher from VKV Kanyakumari, led the Vidyarambham ceremony in a traditional manner. The puja was conducted by Smt. Nalarani, the Librarian of VKV Kanyakumari.
