Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Madurai Brach, organized a Samskarvarga Sammelan at the Ramar Vistar Kendra Karyalaya, TVS Nagar, Madurai.
Vivekananda Kendra Madurai Nagar conducts weekly Samskarvargas at two locations, with a total of 40 children regularly participating. The Samskarvarga Sammelan is an event where participants from both Samskarvargas come together to engage in activities aimed at the holistic personality development of the children.
The Sammelan, held on 20th October 2024, saw a total of 70 participants, including 38 children, 12 Karyakartas, and 20 parents. The event ran from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with lunch provided for all attendees.
The Sammelan began with a prayer, followed by a well-structured schedule that included Agnyas Abhyas, an activity where children created a miniature model of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, group discussions, Abhyas Satra, patriotic songs, value-based games, and a concluding session. During the activity session, the children showcased their creativity by making beautiful models of the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, while also learning important lessons through the games.
Parents were invited to join the concluding session at 3 p.m., where Dakshin Prant Sangathak Mananeeya Radha Devi Didi graced the occasion. She addressed the participants and blessed the children, appreciating their enthusiasm throughout the event.
The Sammelan proved to be a refreshing and enriching experience for the children, who actively participated in all the activities with great energy. Parents expressed their happiness in seeing their children involved in such purposeful activities and appreciated Vivekananda Kendra for its efforts in molding the character of the children and imparting cultural values.
The program concluded with a Shanti Mantra, followed by the distribution of Prasada to all participants.
