Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Pathanamthitta Branch organized a Personality Development Workshop for Class V and VI students of National High School, Vallamkulam, from 17th to 19th February 2025. The workshop, held from 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., saw the participation of 215 students, 8 staff members, and 3 Karyakarthas.
The program commenced with a prayer, followed by a welcome address by Shri Dileep Ji, Principal of National High School, Vallamkulam. He introduced Vivekananda Kendra and the Karyakarthas to the participants. Adaraneeya Radha Didi then elaborated on the aim and purpose of the workshop.
Students actively engaged in value-based games that reinforced qualities such as alertness, concentration, confidence, and a spirit of helping others. They also sang a Malayalam patriotic song with great enthusiasm.
Stories from the lives of Swami Vivekananda, the Ramayana, and Bhagawan Buddha were shared with the students, who later prepared and presented skits in groups based on these narratives. Pranayama and meditation sessions made them calm & relaxed which they liked very much.
The workshop concluded with experience-sharing by the students, followed by the Shanti Mantra.
