Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Chennai Branch, has set up a Golu for Navaratri at Vivekananda Kendra Prakashan Trust Karyalaya in Chennai.
Golu, also known as ‘Kolu’ or ‘Bommai Golu’, is a traditional display of dolls and figurines, prominent in the southern states of India during the festival of Navaratri.
Every year, as part of the Navaratri festival, Golu is arranged in the VKPT office. This year, it was set up from October 15, 2023, continuing until October 24, 2023. Each day, puja and bhajans are conducted, and Prasadham is distributed to visitors.
On October 17th, Mahila Yoga Varga sisters chanted the Lalitha Sahasra Naama Stotram. They were accompanied by their children, and some of them sang Devi songs. In total, 55 people were present.
