Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, RT Nagar branch celebrated Navaratri with a special Bhajan Sandhya organized at Smt. Gowri Didi’s residence on 4th October 2024. A total of 35 participants, including children, karyakartas, parents, and Gowri Didi's family and friends, took part in the celebration.
A grand display of Dussehra dolls, known as Golu (also called 'Kolu' or 'Bommai Golu'), was arranged at the residence. Golu is a traditional display of dolls and figurines, prominent in the southern states of India during Navaratri.
The Bhajan Sandhya was conducted in front of the Golu, and Kanya Pooja was performed for our Samskara Varga sisters. Thambula and prasada were distributed to all participants.
