Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu celebrated Karthika Masa Deepa Puja on 22nd November 2024.
Karthika Masa Deepa Puja is a significant religious observance celebrated during the month of Karthika in many parts of Bharat. This month is considered highly auspicious in Hinduism, and the Deepa Puja involves the lighting of lamps, symbolizing the body (diya) and the soul (light). The ritual is believed to dispel negativity and illuminate the path to spiritual awakening.
The celebration took place at VKV Kallubalu from 5:45 pm to 6:30 pm, with Smt. Mitra Didi guiding the puja. A total of 88 people participated, including 20 Anandalaya students (from Bommandahalli and Kallubalu), 60 VKV teachers and students, and 8 parents.
All attendees performed the Deepa Puja with heartfelt devotion, experiencing a sense of elevation through their participation in this auspicious event. Prasada was distributed to all after the conclusion of the ceremony.
