Vivekananda Kendra Karnataka Vibhag, J.P. Nagar branch celebrated Gurupurnima Utsav on 22nd July 2023, at 10:30 am in BBMP Yoga Hall, JP Nagar. The programme was attended by 55 people, including karyakartas and students, who actively participated in the Utsav with enthusiasm and devotion.
The program commenced with a Shantipath lead by Sri. Nayan ji, followed by a warm welcome to the audience by Nagar Pramukh Sri. Krishna ji.
The students of VKV Kallubalu performed the Guru Stotra, which was a beautiful rendition. Sri. Ramesh Bhatji did an excellent sutra sanchalan. Sri. Prakash ji then introduced the Chief Guests Adharneeya Lalitha Didi and Dr. Padmarekha Didi.
Dr. Padmarekha Didi provided an insightful parichay (introduction) about Vivekananda Kendra and its service activities. Also, she appealed to all participants to become patrons of Kendra and actively support its noble endeavors. Adharneeya Lalitha Didi delivered an enlightening discourse on the importance of the Guru, significance of Gurupurnima, and the role of Omkar as the Guru in Kendra. All did pushpanjali to Omkar and took sankalpa to contribute more efficiently towards the nation-building work.
Sri. Shambhu Gowda ji expressed gratitude with a heartfelt vote of thanks, and Sri. Anantharamu ji concluded the event with Shanti mantra. Prasad was served to all the attendees.
