Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari celebrated Gita Jayanti with devotion and enthusiasm at its headquarters on 11th December 2024. The event, held in Eknath Hall, saw the participation of around 90 people, including headquarters staff and Life Workers.
The program was presided over by Mananeeya Sri Hanumantarao ji, All-India Vice President of VRM & VK, who graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Sri Angiras ji (Mamaji), Senior Jeevan-Vratti and Archives Pramukh, and Kum. Radha Devi, Dakshin Prant Sangatak, also attended the celebration.
Sri Thanu ji, Rock In-charge of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, hosted the event. The program began with the chanting of the Shanti Pat and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Mananeeya Hanumantarao ji and Sri Ravindra Joshi ji. This was followed by a recital of Karma Yoga Sloka Sangraha by the Kendra sisters, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
Mananeeya Hanumantarao ji addressed the gathering with an insightful speech on the essence of the Bhagavad Gita, using vivid illustrations to convey its teachings effectively. The celebration concluded with the Kendra Prarthana, leaving the participants inspired and enriched by the message of the Gita.
