Various activities conducted by Vivekananda Kendra Mysore branch between April 2017 to July 2017. In periodical activity, 16- Samskarvarga 2 - Kendra Varga, Anadalaya and Swadhyay Varga is going on.
Samskara Varga Prashikshana Shibir/ Personality Development Camps :
1. At Jayanagar: from 01.04.2017 to 10.04.2017 total 25 students attended.
2. At Roopanagar Vistar: from 02.04.2017 to 9.4.2017 total 15 students attended.
3. At Jayanagar: from 11.04.2017 to 24.04.2017 total 18 students attended
4. At Varkod vistar : from 13.04.2017 to 15.04.2017 total 30 students attended.
Yuva Prerana Shibirs conducted at Kanyakumari for Govt college Magadi students from 6th to 8th June 40 students, 3 teachers and 4 parents attended. Yoga & pranayama, games, songs, some inspired incidents from life of Ma. Eknathji and Swamiji, patriotic songs and group discussion and presentation were the main activities in the camp. Su Radha Didi, Vinayak Salimat , Sri Raghuji and Sri Jagadish Naduvina are the resource persons.
On 19th July talk arranged at Amruta Vidyalaya, Mysore . Su Radha Didi spoke and interacted with students of class 10th. Total 125 students attended.
Sri Ramanavami Celebration: On 5th April we observed Sri Ramanavami at Kendra. Smt. Vita Bai Didi narrated Tulasi Ramayana and Bhajan. Mass Annaseva organised near about 800 people took prasadam. Evening Bhajan conducted.
Dr. B R Ambedkar’s Jayanti: On 14thDr. B R Ambedkarji’s jayanti celebrated at Kendra. Sri Rameshji talked about Dr.Ambedkarji. On this occasion Youth wing started with 15 youths. Every Sunday Youth wing activities started.
Guru poornima :
06.07.2017 celebrated at Vanita Sadana High school, Krishnamurthy puram Vistar. Kum. Priya and Kum. Preeti taught Sri Guru Shloka. Sri Aravinda Prasad talked the importance of Guru poornima. Sri Murali was the Chief Guest and Smt. Nagaratana, Principal presided the function. Total attendance- 314 students and 21 teachers, 5 karyakartas.
07.07.2017 celebrated at Govt High school, Laxmipuram Vistar. Sri Ravi Kumar talked the importance of Guru poornima. Smt. Geeta, Head Mistress presided the programm. Sri Guru shloka taught to the children. Same day Samskara varga started. Total attendance: 51 students, 7 teachers, 4 karyakartas.
