Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamilnadu Vibhag, VK Rural Development Programme, Ramanathapuram branch performed Anna Puja on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Maa Sarada Devi and Gita Jayanti at Arulmigu Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple, Paramakudi on 21st December 2024.
The program was inaugurated with deepa prajwalan (lighting of the ceremonial lamp) by Kendra well wishers Smt. Jayanthi and Mrs. Revathi Suresh Kannan. Following that, Sri.Suresh Kannan, Nanal Spoken English and his team created a divine atmosphere with their beautiful bhajans.
Sri. Murugan, Gnana Vazhipadu Mandram, Paramkudi, Sri. Karthik, Correspondent, KK Education Center, Keezhakarai, Sri. Srinivasan Asha Dharani, Emaneswaram participated as the Chief guest and Sri. Ayyappan ji, the Secretary of VK Rural Development Programme presided over the program.
Kum. Nagajothi, Senior RDP Worker sang the Annapurna Stotram composed by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. Bhagavad Gita Chapters on Arjuna Vishada Yoga and Karma Yoga chapters were chanted by the participants.
4,020 kg of rice was collected from more than 30 villages in and around Paramakudi. Sri.Suresh Kannan, Paramakudi incharge, Sri. Manoj Kumar and Sri. Murugan presented the rice collected from the public to Sri. Ayyappan, Secretary, VK Rural Development Programme.
Sri. Ayyappan Anna addressed the gathering and offered his greetings. Smt. Chandrakantha Vallarasu Amma offered her blessing to the participants. Sri. Ayyappan Anna presented mementos to the guests and Sri. Suresh Kannan delivered the vote of thanks. The Anna Pooja was concluded with the Shanthi Mantra by Kum. Nagajyothi.
All the arrangements for this event were made by Paramakudi Branch In-charge Sri. Suresh Kannan, Volunteer Group Team Leader Sri. Manojkumar and the Kendra sisters. More than 100 people including Kendra workers participated in this event.
