Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamilnadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme, Thoothukudi branch, organized the Amudha Kudumbam (Amrita Parivar) programme on October 28, 2023, in the presence of Dakshin Prant Sangathak Kumari Radha Devi Didi and the Secretary of VK-RDP Shri. Ayyappan Ji.
The program began with the lighting of the Thiruvilakku (lamp) and prayer, followed by a welcome address and the introduction of the special guests. Kum. Radha Devi Didi provided insights into the essence of Amudha Kudumbam, and Shri. Ayyappan Ji moderated the event. Participants were grouped into three groups namely Swami Vivekananda, Sri Ramakrishna, and Mother Saradha Devi for discussions on the importance of family, the role of parents in child upbringing, and the role of schools. Each group presented their discussions, followed by the singing of a patriotic song. Around 40 participants, including Thiruvilakku Puja conductors, Balwadi teachers, parents of Balwadi children, and RDP staff, attended the event. Lunch was also provided for all participants after the programme.
