Green Rameswaram February Newsletter

Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram was to visit one of the departments. Naturally the person in-charge tidied up things and all was kept spick and span. Old and ungainly items were all stacked together in the shed in a corner of the compound.
When Mother got down from the car, she was received and shown the way to the office where things had been arranged. But she looked round and proceed in the direction of the shed. On reaching there, she asked what was inside the place. The reluctant sadhak opened the door and there was a heap of dried coconut shells and other junk thrown in pell-mell. Mother said nothing and went through the programme.
On returning to the Ashram, however, when she was asked why she had gone to that shed, she explained that as soon as she stepped into the compound, she heard calls from the shed: “Look at us, look how they have kept us”. And she did find how shabbily they had been treated!
All of us should develop such sensitivity then “Green Resilient Rameswaram” and “Swatch Bharat” will be a reality.
