All India Yoga Shiksha Shivir was held in Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari from 05th to 19th May 2015.
The reporting day was 4th May and most of the participants had arrived and reported during the day. Fifty - Three participants from seven different states viz, Maharastra( 13 participants),Tamilnadu ( 17 participants) and Kerala( 2 participant), and Karnatak (9 Participant), Puducheri (2 Participants), Andhra Pradesh (2 Participants), Madhya Pradesh (2 participants), Hariyana (1 Participant) Uttar Pradesh (3 Participants), and West Bengal (1 Participant) are reported. On the same day the participants attentended the bhajan sandhya and Introductory session, wherein the participants were given orientation for the camp. On 05th morning, Shivir was inaugurated by Mananeeya Angirasji (Mamaji).
The medium of the camp was in Hindi and English
The 53 participants were organized into Six different groups –, Four groups for English are named as Sankhya, Yoga, Nyaya, Vaisheshika and Two groups for Hindi - Mimansa and Vedant
The Fifteen Day camp had Morning Prayers, Gita-Pathan, Yogabhyas, Shram-Samskar, two Lecture sessions, Manthan, Geet-Abhyas, Yogabhyas, Krida Yoga, Bhajan Sandhya, and concluded with Ananda Mela.
The lecture sessions were on the topics of: Concepts of Yoga, Rajayoga, Bhaktyoga, Janayoga and Karmayoga, Bharateeya Samkriti, Concepts of Dharma, Kendra Prarthana, Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta, Maneeya Eknathaji, Swami Vivekananda, Story of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Challenges and Response, Vivekananda Kendra-Concept and activities.
During Manthan Participants discussed over different Chapters from Sadhana of Service.
During Shram-Samskar, participants took care of the cleanliness, arrangement and management of the premises, accommodation, class rooms and dining hall displaying team-spirit and selfless service.
During the Camp, Participants visited Vivekananda Rock Memorial, Kanyakumari Amman Temple, Marutva Malai Trek, Wandering Monk, Vivekananda Pictorial, Gramodaya and Gangotri exhibition. On 17th Participants attended Deep Pooja arranged by RDP at Bhagawati Amman Temple.
The Shivir went on well in a congenial, spiritual atmosphere with moderate discipline and affection.
Many of the participants have expressed their willingness to devout their time and energy for the Service of the society through Vivekananda Kendra. Several enrolled as Patrons thus joining the large family of Vivekananda Kendra.
