V K Mangalore - Taluk Level Cultural Competition at Bantwala, Mangalore District:
Vivekananda Kendra kanyalumari, Mangalore organized Taluk Level cultural competitions for schools and college students of Bantwala taluk. Sri Damodara Prabhu, Correspondent , S V S Group of Schools inugarated the event. On 17th August, 120 students from 9 institution participated in Drawing and Essay on My Hero Swami Vivekananda . On 18th August “ Vande Mataram” song competition held at S V S Kannada Medium School, Bantwala. 16 teams participated in this competition. Sri Narayana Kamat, Managing Director, S D C C Bank talked about Swami Vivekananda and Vande Mataram.
Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration at V K Mangalore :
On 15th September, U B Day celebration held at S V S Kannada Medium school auditorium, Bantwala district of Mangalore. Sri Mohan Kumar Kumblekar, Kum. Sujatha organized celebration. Sri Narayana Kamat, was the Chief guest, Sri Damodara Prabhu presided the program and Sri Mohan Kumar talked importance of the day. Kum Jyothi, College Pramukh, Govt college Punjalakatte , did prayer Buvana mandale . Master Madan, College Pramukh, Govt college Beltangady did vote of thanks. At the end prized and swamiji’s momentos given to all the winners of the taluk level competition held on 17th and 18th August.
Universal Brotherhood Day Celebration at Brahamavara, Udupi :
On 16th September U B Day celebrated at A V Baliga College of Social works and Rural Development, Brahamavara, Udupi Taluk. Smt Swapna Ganesh, Principal of the college was chief guest. Sri Suresh Malpe, social worker talked about Swami Vivekananda and he stressed on students roll in social works. Sri Naveen Kumar and Sri Manjappa Goni , organized the programme.
