Samuhik SuryaNamaskar was conducted at Vivekananda Kendra Kanniyakumari at the eastern side of our campus between Seashore and Swami Vivekananda Mandapam on 18th February 2013. There were 1500 children participated from the surrounding areas of 5 schools. The Vice-President of Vivekananda Kendra, Ma. Balakrishnanji blessed the students for SVSSS and Pujaniya Balaprajapati Adigalar inaguarated the programme.
Vivekananda Kendra Nagercoil conducted SVSSS Yuva Prerana Shibir in the month of March 25th to 28th, 2013, for the students of PSN College of Engineering and Technology, Tirunelveli.172 youngsters participated in the camp.In Camp there were various lectures on various topics delivered by various experts.Personality of Swami Vivekananda to the Youth of India by Sri. Krishnamurthyji, Cenetenary Celebrations and Shardha Sarti Samaroha of Swami Vivekananda by Sri. Paramaguruji, Challenges and Responses in the light of Swami Vivekananda by Sri Aravindji Neelakantan, India's Contribution to the world by Prof. Umaiorubaganji and Interaction with student in different subjects - Aa. N. Subramaniam Pillaiji. Topics for discussion were Today's Youth, Today's Bharat and Today's Culture. They presented in creative manner. And There were also Surya Namaskar - Yogasana- Pranayama, Desha Bhakti songs, Chanting slokas and Creative games.
Vivekananda Kendra Nagercoil conducted Personality Development Camp for the nearby area children of kanniyakumari on 26th to 29th April 2013, In this 20 children participated. The topics were personality with specific example like Swami Vivekanand, Our Patriots. The children discussed in the topics of Daily Routine, Sanskar Varga, Bhajan Sandhya and concept of Sri Ganapati Pooja.There were also Surya Namaskar-Yogasana, Desha Bhakti songs, Creative paper works and Creative Games as part of camp.
Vivekananda Kendra Nagercoil had Gruha Sampark at the village of Elusatupatu which is nearby VKKanniyakumari on 14th May 2013 with workers of Rashtriya Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir. Karyakartas started Gruha Sampark with lunch in village peoples' house and distributing Swami Vivekananda's photos, stickers and pamphlets and saying about other activities of SVSSS. Around 50 houses we reached. We were 25 Karyakartas. In the evening, at temple, Karyakarta took Sanskar Varga with village children. In this village, Vivekananda Kendra Nagercoil conducting Sanskar Varga and monthly Deepa Pooja as well as celebrating Sri Rama Navami with sanskar varga chilldren by singing Bhajans and chanting of 108 Ramnam Japa.
