Vivekananda Kendra, Arun Jyoti, Itanagar have Celebrated Swami Vivekananda’s 149th Birth Anniversary at Kendriya Vidyalaya No. - 1, Naharlagun. The main speaker Smty. Radhilu Chai, Vice Chairperson of Women Commission, Govt. of Ar. Pr. Highlighted the life and message of Swami Vivekananda. She inspired the students, teachers & staff of K.V. - 1. By narrating the life and teaching of swami Vivekananda to the entire humanity.
The programme was started with Prayer and a patriotic song by K.V. – 1 student. The Vivekananda Kendra movement and regarding 150th Anniversary celebration and its wide spectrum was presented by Er. Kalyan Dutta, Nagar Pramukh Vivekananda Kendra, Itanagar. Based upon the motivating speech of Smty. Radhilu Chai a Quize was conducted by Sanjay Kumar a teacher of the K.V. – 1 and the prize was distributed to the winners.
Smt. Chai gave away the prize to the winners of Arise! Awake!! Competition which was conducted last week in the Hr. Sec. Schools , Naharlagun. Kumari Neha Tiwari of K. V. – 1, Linbum Tama & Suraj Chakraborty of Govt. Hr. Sec. school polo colony came first, second & third in Written Competition respectively. In Speech Competition the winner are Byabang Mekia & Gracy Hingbo of Govt. Hr. Sec. school polo colony, & Rohan Shretha of K. V. – 1, first, second & third respectively.
An Exhibition on Samarth Bharat was also displayed , which was the attraction of the students to know about the latest achievements & uniqueness of our country. There was also exhibition of inspiring books based on Swami Vivekananda’s life & message, history and culture. The main motto of this is to generate awareness among masses about the greatness of our motherland & feel the pride of being Indian. This also aims today’s youth to know the potential of Bharat & work for Man Making – Nation Building.
Welcome speech was given by Shri Sanjay Kumar , a Teacher of Kendra Vidyalaya .around 1000 students participated in the programme & 4705 Sahitya Seva Seles.
