After the prayer session, Nivedita Didi spoke to the gathering. She pointed out the uniqueness of Bharateeya culture where science and religion went hand in hand. The gist of her speech: Our Rishis were scientists too. They never had to revolt against the religion to establish their scientific facts. Because they firmly believed that those scientific facts were truths and a society which believes in truth can never perish. But in the west ,things were different. Every inch of the life of a scientific thinker was in utter darkness. They were punished for airing the truth. Then they were even asked to withdraw their scientific findings to get freedom. She appealed the listeners to bring back the past glory of the nation which is being identified and registered by western leaders. The present day truth is that without India the western countries can’t flourish. That is why the American president openly said that “India is not an emerging economy; it has already emerged”. “It is the duty of every true Indian to make all efforts to make our Bharat Samarth” – Didi concluded.
