In August 2018, the Mobile Medical Team of Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti visited Wakka for Medical Camps. Our Nagar Sanyojak, Sri Saikhang Sir informed us about an eight years old boy, Kr Danggang Gangsa of Wakka village. Wakka is in Longding Dist of Arunachal Pradesh, about 90 Kms hill track from Dibrugarh which takes around 5-6 hrs with own vehicle and more than 12 hrs by Govt bus.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Project: Arun Jyoti, Arunachal Pradesh in association with Sub-Divisional Civil Hospital, Sonari conducted one Free ENT Surgery Camp on 23rd and 24th September 2019. A team of five Doctors and one OT Sister under the leadership of Dr. Pradeep Kumar PS (MENTS Hospital, Bengaluru) rendered their valuable service voluntarily during the free camp.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari organized one Free Speech and Language Therapy Camp at Vivekananda Kendra Medical Center, Laipuli, Tinsukia, Assam from 1st to 20th June 2019. Chaitrali Hemant Pavnaskar, a speech and language therapist from Pune rendered her valuable service during the camp. 20 children with speech and language difficulties attended the camp.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari in association with District Blindness Control Society, Tinsukia organized one Free Cataract Surgery Camp at Chapakhowa Hospital, Sadiya on 27th and 28th February 2019. A total 31 poor and elderly patients were successfully operated during the camp.
The camp was inaugurated by Sri Jitendra Meena, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Tirap district on 28th January 2019. All the HOD’s were present in the meeting.

How true is the saying! Only those who have treaded the same path will understand the true meaning of these words. Since its inception, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari has literally lived this saying. All its projects are designed and oriented towards the upliftment of the underprivileged with the active participation of the community. It is the community which understands the problems they face better than any outsider, so the community must come together to actively participate in the mitigation of the same.
On 10th November evening, one CME was arranged and Doctors from Dibrugarh were invited to attend the CME. The objective was to create awareness for Cochlear Implant. Dr. Sanjay Sachdeva gave a power point presentation on Cochlear Implant and had some lively interaction with the Doctors of Dibrugarh. 15 Doctors participated in the programme.
