Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Hebbal branch organized a Workshop on Sri Purandara Dasa to commemorate his birth anniversary on 24th March 2024.
Srinivasa Nayaka, also known as Purandara Dasa, was a composer, singer, and philosopher from Karnataka, India. He followed Madhvacharya's Dvaita philosophy and greatly contributed to Carnatic music.
Smt. Ramya Sudhir conducted the workshop, briefing attendees about his life history and the principles of leading a life in the Bhakti Yoga Marga. She also taught three songs composed by Sri Purandara Dasa. The workshop was attended by 47 people, and prasad was distributed during the event.
