Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vallioor (Tamil Nadu Prant) celebrated Vinayagar Chathurthi from 7 to 16 September 2026 at the school premises with devotion and enthusiasm. Students from KG to Class XII participated in the celebration.
The celebration was organized to help students understand the spiritual and cultural significance of Vinayagar Chathurthi, while also creating awareness about environmental responsibility and the importance of preserving Bharatiya traditions.
During the celebration, students from different classes were given an opportunity to offer prayers to Bhagavan Sri Ganesha. Classes II and III participated on 7 September; Classes IV and V on 8 September; KG and Class I on 9 September; Classes VI and VII on 10 September; Classes VIII and IX on 11 September; Class XI on 15 September; and Classes X and XII on 16 September.
The school remained closed from 12 to 14 September due to holidays. However, a few teachers visited the school during these days and continued the prayers and offerings to Bhagavan Sri Ganesha.
The celebration concluded on 16 September 2026 with Vinayagar Visarjan at 11:00 a.m. Students offered flowers and received Prasadam before the Visarjan. The celebration provided an opportunity for students to participate in a traditional festival with devotion and deepen their understanding of its cultural and spiritual significance.
