Universal Brotherhood Day, celebrated annually on September 11, commemorates the profound message of Universal Brotherhood delivered by Swami Vivekananda at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago on September 11, 1893. It is one of the five Utsavas celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra across all its branches in Bharat.
This year, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Hebbal Nagar, celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 14th September 2024 with the students of Government School, Bhuvaneswari Nagar. The event, held from 8.30 to 10.00 a.m., included patriotic songs, dance, and drawing competitions. The students showed keen interest in participation in the events and showcased their talents.
Su. Smitha Didi shared the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day and introduced Vivekananda Kendra and its service activities. A total of 250 students participated in the event.
