Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu (Karnataka Prant), celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September 2026 at Kuvempu Sabhangana. The programme was held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:40 a.m. and witnessed the participation of 375 people, including 348 students, 20 staff members, 4 guests and 3 committee members.
The programme was graced by Shri Shailendra Singh Chandel ji, General Manager (HR) – Compliance & Service Management, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), as the Chief Guest. Smt. Veena Srihari, Shri Nagesh Ji, Shri Rajesh Ji, Shri Soumen Ji, Shri Chandra Mouli Ji, Shri Ramesh Ghodke, Shri Venkatesh Ji, Mananeeya Lalitha Didi and Smt. Suravi Didi were also present on the occasion.
The celebration highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s message of Universal Brotherhood, harmony, unity and the oneness of humanity. The winning team presented a melodious Geet, adding a devotional and cultural dimension to the programme. Shri Hrishikesh Ji spoke on the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day and explained the continuing relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s message of unity, harmony and mutual respect.
A meaningful drama was presented by Shri Mahanthesh ji and team, creatively conveying the values of brotherhood, compassion and unity.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Shailendra Singh Chandel Ji shared insights drawn from his more than 28 years of professional experience at HAL, where he has served in various senior Human Resources positions. He encouraged the students to cultivate positive values, discipline, leadership qualities and a spirit of service in their lives.
The celebration provided an opportunity for the students to reflect upon Swami Vivekananda’s timeless message of Universal Brotherhood and understand the importance of practising unity, mutual respect and service in everyday life.
