The Inauguration Ceremony of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Telugu Prant Karyalaya, was held on Kartik Shukla Panchami, November 18th and 19th, in Hyderabad. The program spanned two days and included the Chaumasik Baithak. The esteemed Mananeeya Sri. Balakrishnan ji, the All-India President of VRM & VK, graced the occasion. On November 18, the event commenced with Puja, Homam, and the felicitation of donors who contributed to the construction of the Prant Karyalaya.
Located in the Irrum Manzil area of Hyderabad, the Prant Karyalaya has excellent connectivity through metro and bus services. Notably, the land for the Prant Karyalaya was donated by Smt. A. Leela Ranganatha Swamy in memory of her husband, Shri. A. P. Ranganatha Swamy. The Gruh pravesh puja started at 8:00 am, followed by Ganapati homam. The donors were felicitated by Mananeeya Sri Balakrishnan ji and Shri C.V. Ramulu ji (Lokayukta Telangana and Retd. Justice) before lunch. Around 75 well-wishers and karyakartas attended the event.
On November 19, Sadhana Divas, Pujyashri Swami Bodhamayananda ji, the President of Ramkrishna Math, Hyderabad and Mananeeya Sri Balakrishnan ji formally inaugurated the Karyalaya. Addressing and blessing Karyakartas from different branch centers of Kendra in Telugu Prant, Swami Bodhamayananda ji also launched the new book ‘Dhyanam-Siddhantam Vidhanam,’ published by Telugu Prachurana Vibhagam.
The inaugural session began with the lamp lighting ceremony by guests, followed by Swami Bodhamayananda ji’s address to Karyakartas. In his speech, he emphasized the essence of ‘Shiv bhave Jeeva Seva’ by recounting Swami Vivekananda’s struggles and the sacrifices made by his disciples, during his first visit to the Western world. He stressed the importance of imparting Swami Vivekananda's message to the youth and congratulated Vivekananda Kendra on the completion of Prant Karyalaya and foresaw it as the dynamic center for spreading Vivekananda’s message to the youth of Hyderabad.
Commemorating Mananeeya Shri Eknath ji Ranade's birth anniversary, Mananeeya Sri Baalkrishnan ji highlighted the pivotal role of Swami Vivekananda's teachings in engaging the youth and he emphasized the necessity for a great vision and adequate preparation to work towards it. He stressed that ‘Sangthan’ is the only mantra in Kaliyug to counter adharmic forces.
The vote of thanks was conveyed by Shri N. Anand ji, followed by a shanti mantra, concluding the event.
