Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Mysuru Branch, Dharwad Karyasthan, in collaboration with Sri Kakkayya Shikshana Samsthe, organized a Teachers’ Orientation camp for the newly appointed teachers at Sri Kakkayya Shikshana Samsthe. A total of 20 people including the organising team were part of this camp.
The camp was held from October 1st to 7th, 2023, at Ambadgatti. It featured a series of enriching activities, including morning prayers, Bhagavad-Gita chanting, Bhajan Sandhya, Yogasana, Patriotic song practice, and Shloka practice. Participants also received training on conducting Samskara varga, Kendra varga, and Anandalaya.
Sri. Rishikesh ji conducted a session on the importance of computer education for both students and teachers, highlighting the need for modern skills in education. Sri. Aravinda ji shared insights into the life and vision of Swami Vivekananda, the significance of Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the life of Mananeeya Eknathji, and the various service activities of Vivekananda Kendra.
Sri. Ashok ji conducted a session on the Sadhana of Service. Physical and mental well-being were emphasized through a yoga session led by Sri. Bheeman ji, promoting the holistic health of the participants.
Smt. Shobha didi inspired teachers with a motivating session, encouraging them to initiate and conduct Vivekananda Kendra’s activities in their localities. As a follow-up, there are plans to start Samskara vargas and Anandalayas at Ambadgatti and Teguru.
