Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Guruvayur Branch, organized the Swami Vivekananda Jayanti and National Youth Day Celebration at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ottappalam, Palakkad, on 13th January 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The event saw the participation of 87 attendees, including students and staff.
The program was presided over by the Vice Principal, Shri Viswanathan ji, and featured a keynote address by Adaraneeya Sri Raghunathan ji, Jeevanvrati Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.
Addressing the 9th-standard students, Sri Raghunathan ji conveyed the significance of Samartha Bharat Parva and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti. He emphasized how Swami Vivekananda continues to inspire the youth and encouraged students to read Swamiji’s literature to gain insights into his vision and teachings.
The students showed great enthusiasm, expressing a keen interest in learning more about Swami Vivekananda and Bhartiya Samskriti. They requested more sessions like this, which Sri Raghunathan ji readily agreed to conduct.
The program was attended by four teachers, along with Shri Govindankutty ji, a Karyakarta from Ottappalam. Sri Raghunathan ji also interacted with the students and teachers, sharing about the mission and seva activities of Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.
The event concluded with a renewed sense of inspiration among the students and staff, further strengthening their connection with Swami Vivekananda’s teachings.
