Boyan Slat (27 July 1994) is a Dutch inventor and entrepreneur who creates technologies to solve societal problems. He is the founder and CEO of The Ocean Cleanup, a group that develops advanced systems to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. He is the youngest recipient of the UN’s highest environmental award – “Champion of the Earth” and Reader’s Digest chose him as the European of the Year in 2017. He has taken up a massive task of cleaning Pacific Ocean within 5 years’ time.
By reading the work of 23 years Boyan Slat, we become humble and realise that the work of Green Rameswaram is not a very big project but is really a squirrel’s work. Let us all join hands to make it a reality.
