Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, R.T. Nagar branch organized a Samskarvarga Milan and a special program commemorating the 100th week of Samskarvargas, at the Sri Vinayaka Temple Function Hall in R.T. Nagar on February 24, 2024. A total of 110 people, including Samskarvarga children and some of their parents, attended the event. Additionally, other invitees and members of the Sri Vinayaka Temple were also present.

The purpose of this special program was to bring together all the Samskara Vargas from three locations in R.T. Nagar and celebrate the 100th week of the Samskarvargas. Sri Prasad ji, Sri Aravinda ji, Smt. Veena Srihari Didi, Ms. Dharani Didi, and Sri Mishra ji graced the occasion as guests.

Before the program commenced, the venue was beautifully decorated by Yuva Karyakartas and children. The program started with a prayer and a welcome note. The guests formally inaugurated the program with Deepa Prajwalan (lighting the lamp). An invocation classical dance was presented by the Samskara children of the Samhita School of Performing Arts, followed by Vivekavani & Geet.

Children from all three Samskar Vargas shared their positive experiences. Following that, names were given and announced for the three Samskar Vargas by the guests and children:

  • Shakti Samskarvarga at Samhita School of Performing Arts
  • Swarna Bhoomi Samskarvarga at MS Convent School
  • Sri Rama Samskarvarga at Sri Rama Temple

Afterward, the guests gave brief talks. A dance performance elucidating the glory of Lord Rama was presented by the children. Ms. Thara Didi presented the vote of thanks. Nirvana Shatakam by the choir with music was performed. The event concluded with the Shanti Mantra and Kendra prayer led by Sri Prasad ji. Prasad was distributed to all after the program.
