Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, RT Nagar Branch celebrated Raksha Bandhan at the Shakti Samskarvarga on 25th August 2024. The Samskarvarga, conducted weekly at the Samhita School of Performing Arts, saw active participation with 33 attendees, including 29 students, 3 shikshaks, and a parent.
The varga started with a prayer followed by a Subashitha. The children chanted the Sri Krishna Sloka, and during the Yogabhyas session, they engaged in loosening exercises and practiced Yogasanas. After singing Bhajans, a story from Krishna's childhood was narrated.
Raksha Bandhan was then celebrated, with the Samskarvarga children tying Rakhis to one another. Aarti was done and sweets were shared among the participants. The event concluded with the Shanti Mantra and Kendra Prarthana.
