Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Chennai Branch (Valmiki Nagar) celebrated Navaratri at the Kendra Karyalaya in Triplicane, Chennai, from 3rd to 12th October 2024.
A Golu (display of dolls and figurines) was set up, featuring representations of gods and goddesses, spiritual leaders, freedom fighters, mythological scenes, weddings, and depictions of everyday life.
Smt. Kavitha Akka, Chennai Valmiki Nagar Saha Saiyojak, and 10 sisters from Mahila Yoga Varga took the responsibility to perform daily puja in the evening and prepare Prasad.
As part of daily puja, Lalita Sahasranamam, Mahishasura Mardini Stotram and Sri Durga Lakshmi Saraswati Ashtottaram were chanted. Tambulam were offered to 25 participants every day. Throughout the entire span of Navratri, over 200 people participated in the puja.
