Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, West Bengal Prant, Paschimbanga Prant, Shanti Niketan Vibhag, Durgapur Nagar organized a three-day celebration of National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti at Vivekananda Uddyan, M.A.M.C., Durgapur Nagar, from 10th to 12th January 2025.
The program began with a Nagar Parikrama, where 51 youth carried the flaming mashal, Vivek Jyoti, symbolizing the light of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings. Covering a 10 km route, the participants promoted Swami Vivekananda's message, chanting Jai-Ghosh and Shadesh Mantra to energize the surroundings. They also spread awareness about the three-day celebration schedule. The event included enthusiastic participation from cycle and bike teams, adding vigor and visibility to the procession.
A total of 110 spirited youth participated in the celebrations, making the event a memorable and impactful tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s legacy.
