Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Kerala Vibhag, Guruvayur Branch celebrated Gurupurnima at Thachappully family Temple, Engandiyur on 18th July 2024 from 4 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. A total of 23 people attended the program.
Gurupurnima is one of the five Utsavas celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra. At the Kendra, Omkara is revered as the Guru, and Gurupurnima is celebrated with great grandeur by all branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra across Bharat.
During the program held at Engandiyur, Adarneeya Raghunathan Nair Ji, Jeevan-vrati Karyakartha of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, delivered an introductory speech about Vivekananda Kendra and the significance of Gurupurnima celebrations.
Sri Devadas Master Ji, a Retired Senior Headmaster, was felicitated on the occasion. He emphasized the importance of such celebrations in today's world for reinstating the role of the Guru in one’s life.
