Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, West-Bengal Prant, Eknath Vibhag, Bidhannagar Branch organized a Gurupurnima program at the Kendra Karyalaya in Salt Lake BE Block, Bidhannagar.
Gurupurnima is one of the five Utsavas celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra. At the Kendra, Omkara is revered as the Guru, and Gurupurnima is celebrated with great enthusiasm across all branch centers of Vivekananda Kendra throughout Bharat.
The program held at Bidhannagar on 19th July 2024 was attended by 15 participants. Sri Sajal Mandal Ji, a Kendra well-wisher and Headmaster of Labanhrad Vidyapith, delivered a fitting speech for the occasion. Mananeeya Sri Pravinji provided a brief introduction to the Kendra's service activities. The Guru Vandana was led by Sri Soma Basak Ji. A letter by Mananeeya Nivedita Didi on Gurupurnima was read by Ms. Shubhra Didi. Sri Joyhari Jana Ji, Coordinator of VK Pradanam, delivered the vote of thanks. Smt. Madhumita Chatterjee, Amrit Parivar Pramukh, served as the Master of Ceremonies.
