Introductory lecture was presented by Dr. Purnendu Shekhar Das (Retired Principal, Tinsukia Commerce College). Dr. Das etched a picture of the 'Rishis' of ancient India, their types , their characteristics. He spoke about saptarishi, maharshi Vyas, maharshi Balmiki and so on.
The Chief Speaker was Swami Prabuddhananda Maharaj (Principal Ramkrishna Vivekananda Mission, Joyrambati, Bankura). In a very simple language Swami ji enumerated the importance of a Guru in our life. A Guru is very important to guide us in our journey of life. But we have to select our Guru cautiously. The disciple has to be mentally prepared to accept his Guru. Psychologically he has to prepare himself, otherwise his diksha would be futile. Once we meet our Guru, we should consider him as the pole star of our life. Only then our spiritual enlightenment would be possible. In a very lucid manner Swami ji discussed this .
The program came to an end with shanti mantra. The whole program was conducted by Mitali Dutta.
