Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Konkan Vibhag, Badlapur Branch, celebrated Gita Jayanti on December 23, 2023, with the participation of 165 people, including 50 students, 100 parents, and 15 karyakarthas.
Two weeks before the event, an essay writing and painting competition on the topic ‘Shree Krishna’ was organized for parents, receiving a great response. The prize distribution for this creative competition was held during the main event.
The Chief Guest enlightened the parents on the ‘Relevance of Geeta in the Family.’ Engaging group discussions covered various topics, including Swami Vivekananda's thoughts, Bharatiya history, culture, present situations, and developments. The verses from Geetai (by Acharya Vinoba Bhave) and Sampurn Vande Mataram were sung during the event. Attendees connected with each other through various Kendra games played during the event.
