Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag organized a ‘Bhraman’ towards Northeast from 13th to 22nd October, 2023, to shed light on Vivekananda Kendra's work in the region.
A total of 28 Karyakarthas joined the trip, during which they visited Guwahati, VKV Sahregaon, and VKV Kitpi. Excellent accommodation arrangements were made in the schools’ campus. This allowed the karyakarthas to gain a firsthand understanding of the challenges in the region. The schedule also included visits to the Kamakhya Temple, Tawang Monastery, Bhumla Pass, and Bomdilla.
A talk by Prakalpa Sanghatak of VKIC Guwahati, Sayanti Didi, greatly enhanced their appreciation for the efforts dedicated to conserving north-eastern culture and its unique aspects. Overall, the team found this experience to be truly enriching.
Smt. Shobha Didi inspired teachers with a motivating session, encouraging them to take the initiative and conduct Vivekananda Kendra's activities in their localities. As a follow-up, there are plans to establish Samskara Vargas and Anandalayas at Ambadgatti and Teguru.
