Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Mysore Branch, Hanumanalu Karyasthan, organized an Anandalaya Milan at Shri Sharadha Shikshana Samsthe, Hanumanalu on February 18, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. A total of 178 participants attended the event, including Anandalaya students (157), Acharyas (4), Karyakartas (17), and Guests (4).
As the event coincided with the auspicious day of Sri Ramakrishna Jayanti, it commenced with the Sri Ramakrishna Bhajan by Sri Aravinda Ji. Smt. Thanuja Didi, a Karyakarta, spoke about Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, sharing some inspiring stories. Sri Ramesh Ji provided a brief introduction to Vivekananda Kendra and its activities.
During the Anandalaya Milan program, all the students of Anandalaya participated in Surya Namaskar and yoga sessions. Competitions on Ekatmata Stotra, Deshabhakti Geet, drawing, and Rangoli were conducted among the Anandalaya students. Students from different Anandalayas showcased Kolata, Bharat Natya, dance, and drama performances. Smt. Geeta Muralidhar Didi taught Samskruta Desha Bhakti Geet, and Sri Muralidhar Ji presented mementos to the students. The event concluded with Kendra Prarthana. Lunch was arranged for all students and guests.
