Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Karnataka Vibhag, Jigani Niyojit Nagarsthan, organized an Amrit Parivar Programme at one of the parents’ home in Begihalli on December 19, 2023 from 6.15 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. Totally 17 people participated in the programme.
The program commenced with prayer, followed by the parents introducing themselves. Aadharneeya Lalita Didi engaged in an interactive session with the parents, shedding light on the greatnes of Bharateeya sanskruti. She emphasized how many people from Bharat have attained prestigious positions in foreign countries, attributing this success to the samskara and sanskruti nurtured within their families.
Adharneeya Lalita Didi delved into the key points from the book ‘Kutumba Prabodhana’. A memory game centered around recalling characters from the Ramayana was conducted, generating an enthusiastic engagement among all participants.
Parents actively shared their experiences related to celebrations, festivals, chanting shlokas, and the cultivation of good Samskara at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Kallubalu, expressing their belief in the school's ability to instill strong values in their children.
During the interaction, the parents proposed naming the WhatsApp group ‘Sri Yallamma Devi’. Aadharneeya Lalita Didi suggested adding various families to this group and extended invitations to visit VKV Kallubalu, attend the Gita Jayanti, and participate in the Mathru Pooja on December 23. She also encouraged families to visit Kanyakumari.
The meeting concluded with the Shanti mantra, and Prasad was distributed to all attendees. It was a positive and enthusiastic response from the parents, evident in their interest in purchasing the book ‘Kutumba Prabodhana’.
