Swami Vivekananda's 150th Birth Anniversary. At Vivekananda Mandapam, after offering flowers to Swamiji by Swami Chaitanyanandaji Maharaj of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Vellimalai, and the Superintendent of Police Kanyakumari District flagged the procession.

Swami Vivekananda's 150th Birth Anniversary. At Vivekananda Mandapam, after offering flowers to Swamiji by Swami Chaitanyanandaji Maharaj of Sri Ramakrishna Ashram, Vellimalai, and the Superintendent of Police Kanyakumari District flagged the procession.
Swami Vivekananda was placed on the elephant followed by 150 children dressed like Swami Vivekananda, 2500 students from V K Vidyalaya, St Anthony, Jnanadeepam, Amrita Vidyalay, Govt Higher Secondary school Ottialvidu, Vivekananda College and Polytechnic Agastiswaram accompanied by band, kolattam, silam battam, karakattam and staff of VK and VK Vidyalaya along with reputed people of Kanyakumari participated in the procession which was almost 1.5 kms long and it covered around 5 kms distance.
