Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti conducted two Medical Camps in Lazu circle of Tirap district recently. On 13th August the camp was organized at Barap, where the patients from Sinnu, Raho, Longliang ,Langchen and Barap were examined and free medicines were distributed among the patients. The number of patients were 128. On 14th August 69 patients were examined at Pongkong village and medicines were distributed. Most of the children of these villages were suffering from Diarrhea, Dysentary and other water-borne diseases. Our medical team also distributed medicines to the BRO personals at Pongkong, who are working day and nights to repair damaged roads. On 13th August evening one health awareness meeting was also organized At Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya,Barap attended by 100 students.
It is to be mentioned that due to a massive land slide near Pongkong village, the surface communication of Lazu circle is cut-off from Khonsa from last one month. Our Medical team had to walk 8 kilometer with medicines to reach Barap.
