The 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda will be celebrated across the country from January 12, 2013 to January 12, 2014. The grand celebration titled as ‘Swami Vivekananda Sardha Shati Samaroha’ will be a great opportunity to spread the inspiring message of Swamiji to the whole world.

The theme of the celebration will be ‘Wake up Bharat! Enlighten the World!’ A State-level celebration committee has been formed for Odisha with social leader Col (retired) Sarat Kumar Mahapatra as its president and educationist Dr Dhirendra Nanda as its secretary. Secretary of the committee’s publicity wing Ashok Kumar Sahoo also said several administrators, educationists, social workers, artists, doctors and many other reputed personalities of the State have given their consent to act as members of the committee.
