INSPIRING INCIDENTS
(from our balwadi teachers & workers)
1. P. PUNITHAVATHI, ADAICHANI, TIRUNELVELI DISTRICT ::
We will conduct Samskara Varga at our school on every Saturday. One student named Jaya Sankara Kumari studied at our balwadi. At present she is studying VIth Standard at Pothukkudi Government Higher Secondary School. She has won so many prizes in the cultural programmes.
Last month she participated in a competition regarding wildlife at Tirunelveli and spoke the article which was prepared by me. After ten days the result was announced and she got the first prize. Next day she came to me and informed. She appeared before me as a balwadi student which touched my heart.
2. C. SASIKALA, NEW COLONY, TIRUNELVELI DISTRICT ::
One Mr. Saravanakumar studied at our Balwadi during 1985-86 is doing betal leaf business. He used to do small helps to us whenever we requ ire. On the occasion of 1008 Deepa Pooja held at Ambasamudram I requested him to donate betal leaves for the pooja. He donated enough betal leaves for the pooja and also arranged for the van facility for the ladies who participated from the village. This filled my heart with pleasure.
3. M. KRISHNAVENI, VALAYARVADI, RAMANATHAPURAM DISTRICT ::
On 20.10.2010 the cultural competition was held at Rameshwaram. Myself and four other teachers have not brought the noon meals. So we searched for the shops and all the shops were closed. By seeing this the Aya of that Balwadi asked us to take food with her. She told that she will serve to us since we are serving to others. So on that day she gave us food wholeheartedly which was kept for her. This incident deeply touched my heart and became as an experience.
4. M. KANAGALAKSHMI, ACHANGULAM, THOOTHUKUDI DISTRICT ::
The mother of one Muthulakshmi came to our balwadi to drop her at Balwadi. I asked her whether Muthulakshmi will sing songs at home. She told that whatever has been taught to her she used to study at her home. Then the mother told that now only she is very peaceful. Because in the morning 8.30 a.m. the child will come to the balwadi and will leave at 4.15 p.m. only to her house. During that time the mother will return from her work. Before these days the mother used to take the child along with her to the forest. There the child had to stay under the trees even during raining season. Nobody was there to take care of the child. But after the child has been joined in the balwadi for the past two months the mother is peaceful at home in her working place. The mother was so happy and appreciated us. The child will be studying at home always and is healthy. This made me feel happy.
5. G. KRISHNAMMAL, KOTTAVILAI, KANYAKUMARI DISTRICT ::
I went to N.V.K.S.D. College to meet the Principal regarding cultural competition. I informed the matter to the concerned lady official in the college. That lady reminded me that four years before a poor lady was introduced to the management for a job by me. The management also gave a job to her for cleaning works. The daughter of that poor lady has finished B.Sc., Maths in that college. She was unable to proceed further for B.Ed. course since having no money. The Principal of the college who came to know about this took efforts and gave admission to the B.Ed. course without any donation and also he has remitted the fees to the Government. Further the salary of that sweeper has also been increased. That lady told me that my help to that family has become a great help. Now that family is in a good condition. Also they blessed me that God will bless me in all respect which touched my heart very well. I really felt so happy about the reward of my social service.
