INSPIRING INCIDENTS [FROM OUR TEACHERS & WORKERS]
R. GNANA KUMARI, NANGOORAN PILAVILAI ::
Devi Sri was sent to Anganwadi nutrition school for six months. Afterwards she was joined into our Kendra Balwadi school by their parents. They informed that during the period when she went to Anganwadi school she was having no good habits. But when she joined in Kendra Balwadi school her regular day-to-day habits was changed. Daily she clean her teeth and take food without her mother’s help. Now her parents are so happy. They are not bothered to walk 2 kilometers to bring the child to the school because now their child is studying very well and having good habits daily.
T. PADMAVATHI, VALLANKUMARANVILAI ::
P.N. Bavithra and S.Sivarathai have studied in our Kendra balwadi school. Now they are studying 10th standard in Government Hr. Sec. School. When they received their Hall ticket for the examination both the students came to us and approached for blessings. The attitude of Guru bhakti of their intention to get blessings from us made us so happy.
C. ANUSHYA RANI, NULLIVILAI ::
Babisha is studying in the balwadi school. One day all the students were playing. At that time small ants were going in the ground. One boy was killing the ants and Babisha was telling him not to kill the ants. But he was not adhering it. Suddenly she stood up and told that killing the creature also is sin, they will also have pain which was told by the teacher. The boy was also bewildered and stopped. All at the students and myself were astonished.
M. AMBIKA, MEKKADU ::
I went to Koottalumoodu educational college for VACS works. The President of the temple and the Principal were speaking themselves. I said Vanakkam. The principal do not know me. So he asked about me. The President informed to the Principal about me working in Kendra and also told that only because of Vivekananda Kendra these entire buildings and schools came. Long back Kendra balwadi only started first then slowly other developments. It touched my heart very much.
C. SARASWATHI, AMBASAMUDRAM ::
On 11.02.2010 at Vickramasingapuram free eye camp we went to issue notices door to door. That day was Maha Sivarathri and last Friday of the Tamil month Thai. The sun rays was very much. All the people asked us why have not gone to the temple. We told that you are our Gods. Then we went to the house of our Kendra well wisher Smt. Valli. She offered all the temple prasadams she was having and made us happy. Then we felt that when we go to serve the poor people God will take care of us and we realized the Swamiji words ‘Jeeva Sevaye Shiva Sevai’ and very happy and peace.
M. SEKAR, CLERK, VALLIYOOR OFFICE ::
I used to come in the train for our Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development office from my house. In general no seller in the train will reduce the prices of their things. At that time one day I saw an old lady aged about 80 was suffering without having any food. Then I requested a seller to offer Idly for Rs.10/-. He also gave the idly to her and got Rs.5/- from me and told that the balance Rs.5/- will be his contribution. I felt that people are also having sympathy towards poor people.
