ITANAGAR, Feb 23: The Mega Medical Camp and Rural Awareness Progr-amme was conducted at Basar Nello village under Papum Pare district on February 21 next. The prog-ramme was conducted by VKV Alumni association.
ZPM and Anchal Chairperson of Upper Balijan, villagers and the Ex-VKVians planted saplings in the Middle school campus.
ZPM Nabam Sukia appreciated the Ex-VKVians for the kind gesture while ATA president cum senior teacher GHSS Itanagar Likha Vida explained on the importance of rural education.
Dr Lobsang Tsetim (Eye) with his Opthalmic Assistants, Dr Tunu Gadi (child), Dr T Motu (Medicine), Dr Jummo Jini (Surgical), Dr Sheela Modi (Gynae), all Specialist from Rama Krishna Mission Hospital, Dr Usha Verma (Homeopathy) Doimukh, Dr Kesang Wangdi ENT Specialist Niba Clinic and Dr Nabam Takang (Sr Dental) examined over 600 patients. They also distributed medicines free of cost.
Naharlagun Dispensary VO Dr Goliath Pil, Balijan Sub-Division VO Dr Nabam Runk assisted by John Tashi, VFA Deben Thapa and VFA Hiranya treated 605 cattles, goats, poultary birds and other domestic animals. The villagers were also given free VET medicines.
The VKV Alumni Association expressed gratitude and heartfelt thanks to the villagers, Anchal Chairperson, Upper Balijan ZPM, students’ union leaders of the area, the support paramedics, Homeopathy and Child Specialist and veterinary staffs for their help and support in conducting the mega camp.
