Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamilnadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Rural Development Programme, Kovilpatti branch organized a 1008 Thiruvilakku Puja (Deepa Puja) at Shankara Rameshwarar Udanurai Pagampriyal Kovil in Thoothukudi District.
This mass deepa puja, which was held on 07th January, 2024, saw the participation of 700 people hailing from more than 35 villages. The aim of the Puja is to invoke blessings for the prosperity of the nation and the well-being of humanity.
Notable dignitaries including Mananeeya Sri Hanumanta Rao Ji, All India Vice President of VRM & VK, Sri. N. Krishnamoorthi Ji, Editor of Vivekavani Tamil Monthly Magazine, and a Senior Jeevanvrati Karyakartha, Sri. Paramaguruji, Secretary of VK RDP Kovilpatti Branch, Smt. Gowri Rajasekar, Saha Sanchalak of VK Thoothukudi, Imayam Saraswati Akka and Ponrathi Akka participated in the Deepa Puja were present during the Deepa Puja, accompanied by Kendra karyakarthas.
