The twin festivals Gokulashtami and Rakshabandhan were celebrated with an intense fervour on 27th August in our school. Independence Day was celebrated in a grand manner on 15.08.2013. Shri. Hariharan, Manager, Canara Bank, Vallioor hoisted our National flag and delivered an inspiring speech on patriotism. Shri. Ayyappan, Secretary of RDP, was the special guest. Varieties of cultural programmes which reflected the theme of patriotism and our heritage made the function a successful one.
A remark from a nine year old newly admitted hosteller of a winter vacation school appeared to be a bolt from the blue, making me contemplative.
This time selected PETs will go in selected 6 VKVs and their expertise will be used to train/orient students in that particular area (Marchpast, Volleyball, Football, Rope and Pole Malkhamb, Badminton, Kho-Kho, Basket Ball, Yoga, Chess, Khabadi, Lezim are the few selected items) VKVs Itanagar, Roing, Vivek Vihar, Yazali Jirdin and Dado are in the selected schools now.
