Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Odisha Prant organised a 7day Prant Stariya Karyakarta Prashikshan Shibir at Baleswar from 4th June to 12th June 2014. 10 Brothers and 5 sisters from Baleswar, Bhubaneswar and Brahmapur participated in the shibir.
In orrisa, 3 residential personality development camps were organized in Bhanj Vibhag. In camp day started with Vedic Chanting and Yogabhayas. Various sessions were taken by experts in day time like origami, science experiments and making poems etc. Camp's main focus on five fold - Spiritually, Intellectually, Emotionaly, Mentally, Physical devloment of the child. Evening, there was specially session for games. Day concluded with Bhajans and Night assembly.
3 - Days residential personality development camp in Gunupur - 126 Participants
An interactive meeting to discuss the Vivekananda Kendra and the the Vivekananda Kendra Academy of Indian Culture, Yoga and Management [VK AICYAM] activities was held on 11 May, 2014 at Paderu, Visakhapatnam district. 48 teachers from single teacher schools and teachers of Vigyan Bharathi High School, Paderu attended. Speaking on the occasion Sri Krishna Mohan, Seva Pramukh, Bharateeya Vidya Kendram of the region spoke about the importance of documentation of our traditional practices for posterity.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari conducted a One day Yuva Prerana Shibir at Aska (Ganjam) on April 6th 2014 at Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Aska. 25 participants from Aska town and 2 nearby villages participated in it. This camp was entirely organised by Viajy Hi Vijay participants from Aska collage. The main theme of the camp was Utho! Jago! Yuva Bharat which was described by Kum Pranjali. Followed by Games, Manthan on 'Bharatiya Sanskriti: the Pride' , ' Challenges and Responses', and 'Swami Vivekananda's Beckoning call to youth ' was done in 3 groups.
Odisha conducted a State level Yuva Prerana Shibir from 23-26 January 2014 at Amrita Vidyalayam near Bhubaneswar. 62 youth from different parts of Odisha participated in the camp. The camp was inaugurated by Aadarniya Surasenji Jena, Pranta Sanchalak, VK Odisha Pranta, Mananeeya Bhanudasji guided the participants on the occasion. Br. Rasika and Br. Viju from Mata Amritanandamayi Math blessed the participants by benedictory address.
Vivekananda Kendra started relief work in "Phailin cyclone" affected area in Odisha under the guidence of Odisha Prant Sangathak - Ravi Naidu. Here is brief report.

Vivekananda Kendra is working in Cyclone "Phailin" affected area in Odisha.
Till now Vivekananda Kendra have already distributed the 1800 kerosene lamps, 1500 Blankets, 450 Solar Lamps. The situation is still tough due to continuous rain.
