Universal Brotherhood Day, celebrated annually on September 11, commemorates the profound message of Universal Brotherhood delivered by Swami Vivekananda at the Parliament of Religions in Chicago on September 11, 1893. It is one of the five Utsavas celebrated by Vivekananda Kendra across all its branches in Bharat.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Maharashtra Prant, Sangli Branch, organized a Universal Brotherhood Day program at the Vasantraodada Patil Institute of Management Studies & Research, Sangli, on September 14, 2024. The event was attended by 125 people.
The program began with Sri Kapil Ji reciting the Aikya Mantra. Following this, Dr. Aparna Kulkarni, on behalf of the college, welcomed the attendees. Sri Sunil Ji then delivered the opening remarks, sharing a brief introduction to Vivekananda Kendra, its service initiatives, and this year's Youth Leadership Development Program.
The keynote address was delivered by Smt. Vinita Telang on the topic “Swami Vivekananda’s Universal Brotherhood.” She eloquently discussed Swami Vivekananda message of universal brotherhood.
The event concluded with Sri Siddhant Ji reciting the Shanti Mantra.
