We at Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari Branch Chinchwad had arranged a weeklong workshop on Personality Development for kids of age 6 to 16. A total of 100 students (45 boys & 55 girls) attended this workshop.
Experts form various fields like Mrs. Sushrita Terwadkar, Mrs. Mamta Ratnaparkhe for Yoga & Pranayama, Mrs. Vasanti Gosavi for Sanskar Varg, Ms Sanika for Warli painting, Shri Prabhakar Pawar for Theatre workshop, Shri Suhas Kulkarni & Mrs. Priya Jog for Story telling, Mrs. Varsha Pawar & Mrs. Mugdha Sardeshpande for Songs and Bhajans, Shri Rohit Shenoy for Personality development and all the kendra karyakartas were present throughout the week. Enthusiastic students were very eager to learn all the new things that were being taught to them. Lots of queries and concerns arose from them which were beautifully answered by our team of experts. The schedule was very busy daily with warming up of the body, Surya Namaskar, Yoga Asanas, Drawing, Painting, Origami art, Warli painting, story telling, inspirational songs and bhajan etc. Everyone participated in all the events. Various games which were new to most of the students were taken and everyone enjoyed them a lot.
Last day was kept reserved for the students to perform infront of their parents variuos things they had learnt during the week. Dramas of various icons like Swami Vivekananda, Shahid Bhagat Singh, Rani Lakshmibai, Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj etc, Kathhak performance, Yoga demonstrations were done easily and gracefully by all the participants.
